Hot Springs Village is built for play: 11 lakes, 9 golf courses, and more than 30 miles of trails, with the historic thermal baths a short drive away.

On the Water

Right out back you have a private dock and kayaks on Lake Coronado, one of the Village's sports lakes, great for paddling, fishing, or a swim off the dock.

The Village has 11 lakes in all, with swimming beaches, covered pavilions, and two full-service marinas for boat and watercraft rentals.

Balboa Beach

Sandy swim beach on Lake Balboa, the Village's largest lake

The largest beach in the Village, with a marked swim area and a sandy shore. There is a big covered pavilion, six shade shelters with picnic tables (four with grills), a floating dock, a boat ramp and full-service marina, and a children's playground across the parking lot. It hosts the Village's July 4th celebration. Swim at your own risk, as the beaches have no lifeguards.

Heads-up for future stays: each Village lake is lowered for maintenance every sixth year. Lake Coronado's next drawdown runs from November 2029 through April 2030, when the water level will be low.

Golf

Nine courses and 171 holes wind through the Village. Guests are welcome, so call a pro shop to book a tee time.

More than 30 miles of hiking and biking trails run through the woods and around the lakes, from easy strolls to longer routes.

Coronado Fitness Center, Pools & Courts

The Coronado Fitness Center is within walking distance of the house and has an indoor pool, a seasonal outdoor pool, a full gym, and group classes. Nearby you will find the Coronado Tennis Center and pickleball courts.

Guests check in at each facility. A 5-Visit guest pass is an easy way to sample them, good for any mix of the fitness center, pickleball, tennis center, and outdoor pool. Buy one at the Coronado Fitness Center or the POA office.

Thermal Hot Springs

The natural hot springs are not inside the Village. They flow in downtown Hot Springs, about 25 to 30 minutes away, along historic Bathhouse Row inside Hot Springs National Park. It is a fun half-day trip.

Soak in the mineral-rich thermal pools, or book a private bath, massage, or spa package in a beautifully restored bathhouse. Ages 14 and up.

Buckstaff Bathhouse

Traditional thermal bath ritual · massage

Open since 1912, the Buckstaff runs the classic Hot Springs bathing ritual: whirlpool mineral bath, steam cabinet, sitz bath, hot towels, and an optional Swedish massage. Walk-in only, no reservations.

Free thermal water

Bring an empty jug. The National Park keeps public thermal fountains flowing along Bathhouse Row and at the Quapaw and Hill Wheatley Plaza, where you can fill up with the famous hot spring water at no charge.
